Caistor C of E and Methodist Primary School has won this year’s Caistor in Bloom prize for Best School Garden.

Eric Jagger, from competition sponsors Cherry Valley Farms, went along to present the award – vouchers from Waltham Herbs Nursery, plus a plaque.

“They have really worked hard and grown a wide variety of fruit and vegetables which looked very well tended,” said committee chairman Deborah Barker.

In close second was last year’s winner Lincolnshire Montessori (Caistor) and in third was Caistor Yarborough Academy.
