CHILDREN at Market Rasen Primary School went one better than World Book Day – they had a whole week of book celebrations.
Each class focused on a particular book and on the last day the children were encouraged to ditch their uniforms and come to school dressed as their favourite character from the book.
There was a prize for the best dressed boy and girl in each Key Stage.
The school also hosted a book fair, as well as making a trip to the library.
“We have had an amazing week and the children have been working really hard,” said deputy headteacher Nichola Boulton.
“It has been a fantastic way for the children to access books and develop their love of reading.”
