Another successful year for Caistor Yarborough Academy students was celebrated at their annual awards ceremony, where they were joined by their families in the school’s Hub for drinks and canapés at the start of the evening.
Certificates were presented for ‘Effort and Attitude’ and ‘Achievement’, while cups and prizes were awarded to outstanding students for citizenship, sportsmanship, musical talent and the Headteacher’s award.
James Rispin was presented with The Clare Bloomfield Cup, which is awarded to a student who has achieved well despite suffering difficulties.
The Melanie Pope Memorial String Trophy, awarded for outstanding musical ability, went to George East-Dunning and The Arthur Spalding Trophy for Citizenship went to Callum Mutton.
Commitment to the school was recognised with the presentation of The Marrows Trophy to Sophie Hopper and Edward Kaczmarek and Thomas Broughton received the Sporting Achievement trophy.
And, finally, and the Head teacher’s Award was presented to Alannah Friend and Jemima Burgess for exemplifying the school’s values.
