Children from Grasby Primary School excelled in the North Lincolnshire Music and Drama Festival in Brigg, winning both the Talbot Cliff Shield for Group Music Making and the Quarmly Cup for village school choirs.

Worlaby’s Julian Plunkett won the Thomas Day Trophy for prose speaking and will be the Festival’s representative at the Yorkshire and Humberside Regional Championship Finals; Elicia Palmer will be the music representative.

Brigg St Mary’s Academy were among the leading drama winners, claiming the Honor Lewis Cup for Choral Speaking. Trophies were presented at the closing concert held in the packed hall at The Vale Academy.
