Budding young journalists at De Aston School have gained some excellent experience to help them into their chosen future career path.

A total of 28 students from Years 7 to 13 worked together as a team to compile the 16-page annual school newspaper, ‘The De Aston Voice’, with a helping hand from lecturers and students from Lincoln University’s School of Journalism.

The editor of this year’s paper was year 10 student Arayo Ajeigbe, who worked alongside senior journalism lecturer Tim Greenfield, and she described her role as “hectic but rewarding.” She added “There was a nice balance of news stories and everyone worked well together as a team.”
