AFTER 18 months of hard work, Middle Rasen Preschool has received its Healthy Early Years award.
The award was made in recognition of the outstanding success and commitment shown in improving the health and well-being of the children, families and staff.
As well as healthy eating, the award also focuses on personal and social well being.
This means encouraging lots of physical activity too, which was all logged as evidence of the group’s healthy outlook.
And one of the most popular activities has been the regular visits to the woods.
“The children really enjoy the outings to the woods,” said manager Jean Pettifor.
“They have time to left off steam and the many activities undertaken tick a lot of boxes.
“We are, of course, also working in partnership with parents to encourage healthy eating and more physical activities with the children.”
