The annual house plays event for Caistor Grammar School took place in the town hall recently.

Performances were held on two afternoons, with an evening performance of the three junior plays, years seven to nine, and the winning senior play.

The winning junior play was performed by Hansard, who entertained the audience with their version of Snow White.

Judges Andy and Pat Dodds from Walesby Players said: “This has been a very enjoyable experience.

“Hansard gave a mature, well written, very professional performance with good comedy, minimalist scenery using lighting to create the moods rather than props.

“Rawlinson’s Winnie the Pooh made clever use of a small number of props which made it easier to understand.

“Ayscough’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was a difficult story to tell and we think they did very well with the complicated scenery which the story dictated.”

The full results were: Hansard 92 points, Rawlinson 83 points and Ayscough 81 points.

Senior results: Ayscough
92 points, Hansard 88
points and Rawlinson 84 points.
