There were some spectacular and spooky activities happening at De Aston School recently.

As part of the ongoing school liaison programme, around 40 year 6 pupils from 15 different local primary schools took part in a Technology and Computing Day.

The 10 and 11 year-olds completed a variety of Hallowe’en-themed activities, including making Hallowe’en decorations.

Another activity was getting back to basics and cooking up their own delicious pumpkin soup to take home.

Six students who went the ‘extra mile’ during the sessions were given a special merit award at the end of the day.

Next month will see local year five pupils at De Aston for a languages day and in December it will be the turn of year six again to take part in an arts and humanities day.
