Binbrook Children’s Centre Big Explorer Group faced an emergency situation last week.

The village fire crew and
local PCSOs attended - but it was all in good fun, as it was all part of the group’s
Emergency Services Day.

“The group is all about exploring the world around you,” said Eva D’Esposito, early years practitioner at the children’s centre.

“The children have had the chance to look around the fire appliance and police car and talk to members of the fire and police services.

“It has also been an opportunity for the adults to get any information they need.

“Everyone has really enjoyed themselves and we thank everyone for taking the time to visit us.”

Families enjoyed a picnic at the start of the event on the centre’s green and lots of the children also had their face painted.

Children from Binbrook Early Learners and the primary school also came out later in the day to join in the fun.

Big Explorers meets every Wednesday from 12.30pm to 2pm.
