Caistor Grammar School has held its annual sports assembly, which is designed to recognise the determination and success of the student sports stars.
And presenting the awards was England footballer Casey Stoney, who plays for Lincoln Ladies.
The versatile defender has been capped more than 100 times for the women’s national football team since making her debut in 2000. In 2012, Casey succeeded Faye White as the England captain and became the captain of the newly formed Team GB for the 2012 London Olympics.
“It’s an absolute honour and the biggest privilege I’ve ever been given,” she said.
This year trophies were awarded to Players Player in football and netball, progress and achievement awards in athletics and for junior and intermediate sportsperson of the year.
Thanks were given to Technology Department for designing and producing the trophies.
