The Lincolnshire Learning Partnership will see schools working in partnership with each other and other educational establishments - and a board has been established with representative headteachers and governors.
LCC executive councillor for children’s services Patricia Bradwell said: “The contract with CfBT Education Trust has come to its natural end and we have decided that a sector-led approach, where schools drive improvement and provide the support for each other, is the most effective model.”
Coun Bradwell said this type of scheme had ‘proved successful elsewhere’.
