Rasen centre offers new road towards a career in health

If you have been thinking you might fancy a career in health, a Market Rasen learning centre could steer you in the right direction.

Community Learning in Partnership (CLIP) has secured a new pathway into nursing and other health professions, such as midwifery and occupational therapy.

The course – access to higher education: health professions – is available from this month through CLIP’s Queen Street base.

It is designed as an alternative to A-levels for mature students and there is no upper age limit.

The course covers sociology, psychology, human biology and study skills.

Attendance for one day a week at the centre is required, together with additional home study and online learning.

The new course is part of the successful access studies, which have been running at the centre.

Recent successes have seen students moving on to study for degrees at Bishop Grosseteste and North Lindsey College.
