The annual house plays at Caistor Grammar School took place on two afternoons, with an evening performance of the three junior plays and winning senior play.

Ayscough’s Chitty Chitty Bang Bang took second place with 140 points and Rawlinson’s Dirty Beasts third, with 127 points.

Judges, Steve and Carol Millson, Mayor and Mayoress of Caistor, said: “A wonderful afternoon with displays of outstanding talent from everyone.

“The effort and hard work which has gone into the three performances was exceptional.”

The second day saw the senior plays take to the stage, with Scooby-Doo Comes to CGS from Rawlinson coming first with 176 points, The Wizard of Oz from Hansard second on 146 points and All Star from Ayscough, third with 128 points.

Mr and Mrs Millson said of the seniors: “There was a West End standard at times and first class original scripts were very well performed to an extremely high standard.”
