Caistor Yarborough Academy celebrate GCSE success
STUDENTS at Caistor Yarborough Academy are celebrating their success in GCSE exams.
Students achieved 100 per cent 5 A* to G grades, including English Maths and Science, 80 per cent five grade A* to C and 47 per cent five A* to C grades including English, Maths and Science.
The Academy was particularly pleased with the way students performed in some of the more challenging courses.
These included physics, with 48 per cent getting A*/A grades (98 per cent A* to C) and Global Perspectives, where 75 per cent of students got A* to A grades.
“Both of these are improvements for our brightest students over last year’s results,” said headteacher Jeremy Newnham.
He added: “We are pleased with the results, especially as it reinforces our view that all students can achieve when given a broad and balanced curriculum, in a school with outstanding pastoral care.
“We are very proud of the fact that all students leave this school well equipped for the challenges to follow and we wish them all good luck in the future.”
