Budding entrepreneurs help cyclists take to the road

Caistor Grammar School Young Enterprise company Arkhon has shown it is on the road to success.

The group of students has just published the family cycle guide ‘Tour de Wolds’ and held a book launch to publicise the new title.

The unique guide features maps and instructions for 15 circular routes in the Caistor, Binbrook and South Wold areas, catering for both road and all terrain enthusiasts.

The routes vary in distance to suit all ages and abilities.

Also included is a fun route rating system, designed to encourage younger members of the family to keep a record of their outings as they work their way through the book.

Arkhon member and one of the route planners, Matthew Colley said: “The initial reaction has been fantastic.

“The book only came back from the printers a week ago but, come the official launch just a week later, we’ve already sold 62 copies.

“We have been complimented on the quality of our publication and are particularly encouraged by two local Tourist Information Centres who both say they have nothing comparable to offer those wishing to explore the Lincolnshire Wolds by bike.”

Copies of ‘Tour de Wolds’ are available for £5.99 from Caistor Arts and Heritage Centre, Brigg Tourist Information Centre, Lincoln Tourist Information Centre and Hall Farm Park at South Kelsey.
