A multi-awarding winning production company gave local media students an insight into the film industry when the Blueprint Film Company from Lincoln
visited The Vale Academy in Brigg.

“A-level students and staff are very excited about this visit, as it provided a great opportunity for them to learn from a British film company about how a documentary or music video is planned and funded,” said Gail Young, Principal of The Vale Academy.

The day included a workshop on the pre-production elements of film making.

Students were also able to ask questions and pick up some great tips to help with their own productions.

Head of Media Sandy King said Blueprint was an exciting young company.

“They are a multi-award winning film production company, producing feature films, innovative short films, music videos and documentaries,” she added.

“This was a fantastic opportunity for us and, as a small media department, we are overjoyed we have been able to organise this event.”
