Best ever results for Brigg’s Vale Academy
GCSE results at The Vale Academy in Brigg were the best ever, with 70 per cent of students achieving five A*-C including English and Maths - 77 per cent of students achieved A*-C grades in English and 77 per cent in Maths.
The drive to attain the top grades of A*/A was hugely successful, with greater numbers achieving these grades than ever before, and Principal Gail Young said: “Students, parents and staff can be justifiably proud of these superb achievements.”
Mrs Young also paid tribute to the staff and students for their hard work and dedication and is grateful to parents for their ongoing support.
Sir Paul Edwards, CEO of the School Partnership Trust, said he was “absolutely delighted” with the results.
There were some exceptional individual performances.
These included Lauren Allcock with 13 A* grades and 1A grade; Emma Hall 11 A* grades, 3 A grades and 1 B grade, Dianna Hammond-Blackburn 4 A* grades, 4 A grades and 2 B grades; Rebecca Heaton 10 A* grades and 3 A grades; Oliver Glossop: 5 A* grades, 5 A grades and 2 B grades; Elliott Kerman: 11 A* grades and 4 A grades.
The success at GCSE is reflected through the 100 per cent pass rate at A level at The Vale Academy 6th Form, with all students gaining access to their preferred university, college or apprenticeship.
