CHILDREN at Normanby School have created a lasting reminder of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
Together with graffiti artist James Mayle, the youngsters have designed and painted a wall mural – complete with Union flags and a larger-than-life representation of the Queen herself.
The mural was the idea of headteacher Elaine Tomlinson and each of the Key Stage Two pupils has had a hand in creating the modern masterpiece.
“All the children have been really happy to take part in the project,” said James.
“They have been a pleasure to work with and have created something to be proud of.”
And nine-year-old Molly Geraghty spoke for everyone when she described the experience as “amazing”.
