A Cadney girl has produced a unique map of her home village.

Nicole Barnard, a Lower School Brigg Vale Academy pupil, gave a presentation on the story of Cadney, its history as well as the map, as part of a new initiative at the school to encourage students to learn independently.

For the first time, all year seven, eight and nine students were given the task of creating a piece of work over a six week period on a subject that was open, in a method of their own choice.

An astounding variation of projects appeared, with some proudly showing off hobbies and others creating drawings, models or textiles; some films were even offered.
