A night under canvas for De Aston students

AN overnight camping expedition has helped new students at De Aston School to get to know each other.

The trip was organised by Year 7 head Mrs Davies, who said: “I thought it would be a wonderful opportunity for the students to get to know each other outside the classroom, particularly as they come from a variety of different primary schools and backgrounds.”

The 46 students walked through the woods to the High Ropes Adventure site in Legsby, set up their tents and then enjoyed a range of activities, before lighting the camp fire.

The following morning, sausages were cooked and enjoyed by all, boosting energy levels for the walk back to school.
