Police are warning residents to be vigilant following a spate of suspicious callers in the area.

Last Thursday lunchtime, August 15, a woman visited a house in Middle Rasen’s Gallamore Lane allegedly trying to sell services.

The vehicle she was using was described as a blue Ford Transit panel van, bearing an FE61 index plate.

The home owner felt her visit was suspicious and informed police.

A few days earlier, on August 12, reports were received by police of men offering tree felling services in Lady Francis Drive.

They only attended two homes and when they were challenged by resident, left the area.

The vehicle they were using was, again, a blue Ford Transit panel van, but with an AF06 index plate.

Both vehicles originate from the Market Harborough area.

Call police immediately if you are concerned a caller may not be genuine.
