A man is to face trial next year after denying a charge of assault when he appeared before Lincoln Crown Court.
Ashley Sanders, 21, of Waterloo Street, Market Rasen, is accused of assaulting Heath Murdoch.
The offence allegedly happened on July 7 this year.
Mr Sanders is accused of causing Mr Murdoch actual bodily harm.
Mr Sanders also denied two further charges of possessing of an offensive weapon and possession of a quantity of cannabis.
Heath Murdoch, 44, of Waverley Court, Queen Street, Market Rasen also appeared in the dock.
He denied possession of an offensive weapon on the same day, July 7 this year.
Both men were granted bail by Judge Michael Heath.
The hearing was adjourned and the pair will stand trial at Lincoln Crown Court in March next year.
