Pubs fined for underage sales

TWO pubs near Market Rasen have been fined for selling alcohol to underage teenagers.

The Skipworth Arms in Moortown and the Butchers Arms in North Kelsey both sold alcohol to a 15-year-old girl and 16-year-old boy.

A staff member at each pub was handed an £80 fixed penalty notice after the police and Trading Standards test purchasing operation on Friday, January 20.

One pub in Caistor and three in Market Rasen all refused to sell alcohol to the teenagers.

Police and Trading Standards officers will meet with the licensees to discuss ways of operating more responsibly in future.
