DETECTIVES investigating a rogue trader in Wrawby have released an artist’s impression of a man they want to talk to in connection with the incident.

The incident happened on Tuesday, September 4 between 11.30am and 12.20pm in Vicarage Gardens.

Two men are believed to have approached an elderly woman’s home and pointed out some structural work they claim was required to her roof.

A price was agreed for the work to be completed and the victim offered to make payment with a cheque, which the men refused, stating they only accepted cash.

The victim then handed over £80 and the men promised a receipt would be provided later, but that has not materialised.

Police inquiries suggest a small amount of work has been carried out on the roof, although to a low standard.

An Evo-fit of one of the men involved in the incident has been created and police want to hear from anyone who thinks they recognise him or may recall having seen him in the area in early September.

Anyone with information should Humberside Police on 101 quoting incident 286 of September 4, 2012.
