Police focus on speeding

POLICE in Caistor have been getting to grips with speeding motorists after residents became concerned.

Over recent months people in Caistor and the surrounding villages have expressed their concern about speeding motorists at various Neighbourhood Panel meetings.

The local beat team listened to these concerns and took action.

A total of 10 enforcement days over seven separate sites have led to 51 verbal warnings, 18 written warnings, 23 fixed penalty notices and four court summonses for speeding drivers.

PCSO Neil Harrison said: “We hope this demonstrates the fact that the Neighbourhood Panel system does work.”
