Lincolnshire Police has appointed Heather Roach as permanent Assistant Chief Constable.
Heather was the first female police officer from Lincolnshire to be selected for the Strategic Command Course operated by the national College of Policing, the completion of which made her eligible for promotion to Chief Officer rank.
She is also the first ever female substantive Chief Officer in Lincolnshire Police.
“I am very happy to welcome Heather as a permanent addition to the team,” said Chief Constable Neil Rhodes. “Heather is an incredibly hard working person and a real asset.”
And Heather is excited about the challenges ahead.
“I am absolutely thrilled to have been appointed,” she said. “It is a real privilege to have served for the last 27 years with this force.
“The next few years will be challenging, but I am sure we can continue to serve and protect our communities and I’m committed to doing just that.”
