Market Rasen woman in court over benefit claims

A MARKET Rasen woman allegedly claimed benefits she was not entitled to, Lincoln Magistrates’ Court heard.

Janette Colton, 50, of Coronation Road allegedly claimed housing and council tax benefit she was not entitled to between August 3, 2009 and November 21, 2011 after failing to let West Lindsey District Council know she had started working.

The case has been adjourned until May 22.
