Guilty verdict in man’s attack trial

A CAISTOR man has been found guilty of an assault charge after a trial at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court.

David Barnett, 38, of Plover Square, Caistor was found guilty of assaulting Nicola Whitehead in Caistor on May 5, 2012.

The court heard how David Barnett had been accused of another assault against Ms Whitehead, also on May 5, 2012, but this was dismissed by the court.

Barnett will be sentenced at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, November 15.
