Fined for multiple driving charges
A KEELBY man has been fined a total of £250 after admitting two motoring offences, Grimsby Magistrates’ Court heard.
Glenn Taylor, 35, of Yarborough Road, pleaded guilty to driving a Vauxhall Zafira in Scartho Road, Grimsby, on September 16 this year when he was more than one-and-a-half times over the legal drink-drive limit.
Taylor also admitted driving the car while using a mobile phone.
A further charge that he drove without third party insurance, was withdrawn.
Taylor was banned from driving for 36 months and ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
In a separate case Richard Smelt, 20, of The Hill, Worlaby, Brigg pleaded guilty to having a metal bar in Main Road, Bonby on September 13, 2012. He must do 200 hours unpaid work.
