A driver has had a lucky escape after her car appears to have been shot at with a pellet gun.

The 65-year-old woman had been travelling south on the A15, Redbourne Road at Kirton Lindsey when the incident happened.

She stopped at the junction close to Huntcliff School when somebody appeared to fire something at her car, which struck the passenger side door and caused damage.

Police say the damage is consistent with that of a pellet from a pellet gun.
