Discharge for teen caught with machete style knife

A WRAWBY man who had a machete style knife in a public place has been given a conditional discharge at Grimsby Crown Court.

The court heard how Jamie Ingledew, 19, of Brigg Road admitted having the knife at a lay by on the A18 at Mortal Ash Hill in Scunthorpe on September 27, 2011.

He also pleaded guilty to having 11.763g of cannabis in Scunthorpe on the same day, with the intention of supplying the drug.

Ingledew has been given a 12-month conditional discharge for both offences.
