Discharge for Scawby man guilty of attack

A SCAWBY man has been given a conditional discharge for an attack, Scunthorpe Magistrates’ Court heard.

George Merrick, 22, of Sturton Villas pleaded guilty to an assault by beating charge. The attack happened in Brigg between December 16 and December 17, 2011.

Merrick has been given a 12 month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay £85 court costs.
