Police are urging rural residents to be on their guard after a spate of break-ins to outbuildings in the village of Ludford.
The village has seen a number of break-ins in recent weeks, including on Wednesday night when two sheds in Magna Mile were burgled and the White Hart Inn was also broken into.
Police say while it is not clear if there are any firm evidential links to tie all the incidents together, it is clear that the same offenders may be responsible for all the incidents so the investigating officer will be viewing the spate as a whole.
Neighbourhood officers have been conducting reassurance patrols in the village, encouraging residents to call police as soon as possible to report suspicious activity.
Crime Reduction Officer for the area, Ian Greenshields, can be contacted for advice on all matters to do with security, property marking by calling 101.
