Date set for manslaughter trial

A DATE has been set for the trial of a man who has been charged with manslaughter.

Richard Winn, 20, of Western Avenue, Brigg has been accused of the manslaughter of 18-year-old Daniel Cooper who died in July last year.

Mr Winn is alleged to have knocked Mr Cooper unconscious during an argument in Castle Street, Grimsby on Friday, July 15.

Mr Cooper later died in Hull Royal Infirmary on Tuesday, July 19 after suffering a fractured skull.

Mr Winn denies the charge and will stand trial on September 24.
