Community order for Brigg deodorant thief

A DEODORANT thief has been handed a one-year community order, Scunthorpe Magistrates’ Court heard.

Matthew Teanby, 38, of Western Avenue, Brigg stole 31 cans of deodorant from Wilkinson in Brigg on March 21.

Teanby, who pleaded guilty to the offence, has also been given a four-month curfew and has to complete a thinking skills programme.

The court also heard how Teanby was caught driving a Ford Mondeo in Normanby Road, Scunthorpe on August 8, when he was banned from holding a licence and did not have any insurance.

He got a six-month driving ban and was ordered to pay £85 court costs.
