Brigg van driver in street robbery

A DRIVER delivering parcels has been attacked by a hooded man who pushed him to the ground and stole his van.

The 25-year-old from Brigg was delivering furniture in Scotter at about 9.35am on Tuesday, September 4 when the robbery happened.

While he was out of the van the driver was approached on Mill Crescent and pushed to the ground, but was not injured. His attacker then took the van keys and drove away in the vehicle.

It is thought the offender had previously been driving a silver estate car. He is described as skinny build and 5ft 8 to 5ft 9 tall. He wore a black hooded top with the hood up and dark blue tracksuit bottoms.

He drove away in the Ford Transit van registration number YP61OCN. The van is marked with the writing Lincs Van Hire on back, front and sides.

Anyone who saw the offence, the van or the silver estate car or has any information about the current whereabouts of the van and its contents should contract Det Con Kev Kay of Gainsborough CID.
