West Lindsey District Council is working in partnership with the Magna Vitae Trust for Leisure and Culture to deliver an arts and cultural festival across Market Rasen and Caistor at the start of October.

The council says the festival is aimed at building on its commitment to developing the visitor economy within the district and showcasing what the area has to offer.

West Lindsey District Council leisure and culture manager Karen Whitfield said: “The festival promises to be a fantastic event, which will really see both towns come alive providing a major boost to the local economy.

“Visitors can look forward to a multitude of events across two days, which will include live performances, street theatre and outdoor entertainment.”

The Festival will take place over the weekend of October 1 to 2, 2016.

Magna Vitae Trust managing director Mark Humphreys said: “The Trust is delighted to be working with West Lindsey District Council to deliver a programme of events that engages and inspires communities whilst also supporting the local economy.

“The council has been clear that key priorities for them are to develop community involvement and economic prosperity; and using our significant event delivery experience we very much intend to be able to support them in achieving that.”

More information on the specific performances will be available in the coming months as plans are progressed.
