Remembrance spanned the generations when children from Binbrook Early Learners joined with the Residents Association (BDRA) to plant poppies as part of the World War One centenary commemorations.

The children were welcomed by BDRA chairman Ken Walker, secretary Dawn Walker and Debbie Green, community development officer for the Waterloo Housing Group.

The poppies were planted on the open space behind Briggs Walk, which is used for the play days arranged by BDRA.

“We are looking forward to coming back and seeing the poppies when they are grown,” said Mandy Williams, manager of Binbrook Early Learners.
