Emily Sturgess was crowned as this year’s May Queen at
Binbrook Primary School.
She was chosen by her fellow pupils for the title, which is given each year to a year 6 girl.
And last year’s Queen Annabel Armitage, now a student at De Aston returned to hand over the crown.
The ceremony was part of the annual Maypole event, which saw every child taking part in the dancing accompanied once again with live music from five-piece band Flannagan’s Fancy.
And teachers Adam Smith and Ben Smith even had a go themselves, along with other volunteers, for the final dance.
