Obituary: Phyllis Gertrude Hanson

The funeral service for Phyllis Gertrude Hanson, aged 91 years, was held at St John the Baptist Church in Nettleton.

The Rev Canon Ian Robinson officiated at the service and arrangements were by J Marshall of Market Rasen.

Born at Riby, Phyllis was a twin and part of a family of 13 children.

She spent most of her childhood at Swallow, where she worked in service for a local landowner.

She met and married George, with whom she had five children - Shirley, Christine, June and the late Sylvia and John.

She spent her early married life at Holton le Moor, before the family moved to Nettleton in 1947, where she remained a resident for 65 years, up until her death.

Phyllis always enjoyed her garden and loved all flowers and plants.

She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
