Howsham gardens grant

Through the village hall committee, money has been received to fund a minibus to run at the open gardens event on June 12.

The bus, complete with tailgate for wheelchair users, will be used to take people between the two villages.

There will be at least 12 gardens open at the event, including former Yellow Book gardens, a small holding and a specialist alpine garden.

The second grant has come from North Lincolnshire to help celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday, with a concert by Barnetby Silver Band in Cadney Church on July 2.
