A NEW notice board will see communication between a community group and the general public blossom.

Caistor in Bloom have received the notice board courtesy of Lincolnshire County Council and it will be on display next to the town’s Multi-Use Centre, where the group holds its meetings.

CiB consultant Jacquie Brown said: “This is such a valuable tool for Caistor in Bloom as it gives us the opportunity to showcase our proposed plans and enables viewing for those members of the community who do not use the internet.

“All information will be displayed here as well as on the group’s website www.caistorinbloom.co.uk.”

Members of the community who cannot access the internet can sign up at the new library within the Arts & Heritage Centre on Plough Hill for free.

The next scheduled event for the group is the trip by several members to Oadby and Wigston on September 14 to collect the award for the 2011 East Midlands in Bloom competition.

Any group, business or individual that is willing to volunteer sponsorship, help or donate plants or would like copies of the group’s newsletter and current proposed plans can contact Deborah Barker by email info@caistorinbloom.co.uk or call 01472 851883, or secretary Rick Merrall on 01472 851515
