Children at Caistor Parish Church Sunday School have helped with a commemorative plaque for the RNLI as part of the celebrations of the Britain in Bloom entry Caistor in Bloom achieved this year.

As part of the competition, judges’ guidelines advised the group should actively encourage children to take part in activities around planting and ‘art in the landscape.’

The tiled plaque was put together as a mosaic and surrounded by planting flowers in the RNLI colours of red, white and blue.

And RNLI Press Officer and fundraiser Margaret Smith was delighted to receive the help of the children and Church warden Pat Harris.

“Huge thanks go to Pat for her work in supporting the Sunday School Club on producing this lovely work and thanks also to the Rev Canon Robinson for giving it pride of place inside the church gates for everyone to enjoy,” said Margaret.
