Recently affiliated to the Royal British Legion, Caistor Troop Lincolnshire Army Cadets were invited to form the Guard of Honour at Whittle Hall, RAF Cranwell, for the Festival of Remembrance.

On arrival at Cranwell, the 12 cadets were greeted by senior members of Lincolnshire Royal British Legion and put to task, together with a group of Sea Cadets, to form the Guard of Honour at the main entrance.

They then joined the muster parade and were introduced and marched onto the stage at the event, which was similar to the national event, with music, poems and song followed by a Service of Remembrance.

This was a great honour for Caistor Cadets who found the day educational and moving .They were rewarded for their efforts with a stop at MacDonald’s at the end of a long day
