VIDEO: Hard work just starting for BIG ideas

Waiting for Video...

LIGHTS, camera and now action is needed to regenerate Market Rasen’s town centre.

Market Rasen’s Business Improvement Group, MR BIG, has now submitted the town’s video application for a Portas Pilot grant.

It engaged more than 40 of the town’s traders, shot three hours of video footage in Rasen and edited down 202 clips to one seven–minute film, which can now be seen on Youtube and at marketrasenmail.co.uk

But the group say the hard work begins now.

Sarah Lambelle said: “The core Mr Big team have not slept or eaten for a few days now, and it has been blood, sweat, tears and stress to even get to this point, so we hope you’ll give the town your wholehearted support and get behind the bid.

“Thank you so much to absolutely everyone who has worked so hard to get to this point.

“Now the hard work really starts and we have to make it all happen.”

If successful Market Rasen will be in line for up to £100,000 worth of government backed funding to reinvigorate the town.

But only 12 towns from across the UK will be selected for Mary Portas’ programme.
