Caistor Yarborough Academy welcomed Mike Sheilds to meet Year 11 IGCSE Global Perspective students, who are
going on two educational visits, and to thank him for his generosity. Mr Sheilds, Charted Health and Safety practitioner and Company Chairman of SHEilds Ltd, donated £5,000 towards the cost of the trips, the first to Finland on January 26 and the second to Mercersburgh Academy in the USA.

The donation has significantly helped the students get pushed off the ground, as the funding they needed was out of their price range.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity that we wouldn’t have been able to achieve without Mr Sheilds,” said student Jade Holness.

”Mr Sheilds has given us a chance to peruse a fantastic opportunity in experiencing other cultures and gaining more knowledge about them,” added Jade Davey.

Fellow student Harry Hodson said: “The funding has really helped us and I am excited to increase my views and knowledge of the world.”

”The donation was given to enable the class to go out and experience different cultures and international experiences,” said Mr Sheilds.

“It will also help the parents as well.”
