New blood for town’s Royal British Legion

MEMBERS of Tealby and Market Rasen Royal British Legion held a successful recruiting day.

And not only were several application forms given out to interested people at the event, held at Market Rasen’s Tesco store, but shoppers also donated £171.15 to the Poppy Appeal.

“We would like to thank Tesco for giving us the opportunity to be at the store,” said branch secretary Les Tranter.

“Special thanks also go to Jenny Stimson, the community champion, for her kind assistance and of course to all those who gave so generously.

Completed application forms can be sent off as advised on the form or can be taken along to the next branch meeting at Market Rasen Social Club in Serpentine Street on Thursday, October 11 at 7pm.
