A NEW art project will add even more interesting features to Market Rasen’s railway station.
The Station Adoption Group has teamed up with CG Partnership to create life-size silhouettes, which will be installed along each platform.
CG Partnership will be running special art classes, starting on May 9 and running for a total of eight weeks, to design and paint the large-scale artwork.
Martin Barnard, of the Market Rasen Station Adoption Group, said: “We want the cut outs to depict themes in keeping with the station, for example a station master, passengers, luggage and porter. This will give plenty of scope for people taking part and plenty of room for imagination.
“We also hope to have the remaining blanked-out windows painted with local and/or railway scenes.”
Alison Bonnell, at CG Partnership, is hoping to hear from beginners and experienced artists who would like to take part in this community project.
Whatever your artistic skills, give Alison a call at CG Partnership on 01673 843489 to register your interest or to find out more about the art project.
