Garden centre brings new jobs
Lincolnshire’s newest garden centre is set to open its doors later this month with the creation of six new full-time jobs and 34 part-time posts.
The Willows at Glentham is a purpose built new garden centre with a cafe and delicatessen, which opens its doors for the first time on Saturday, March 23.
And the first 250 visitors will receive a free potted Narcissus.
And at the opening, as well as face painting in aid of the charity LIVES , there will be a very special celebrity guest appearing in the children’s play area - Peppa Pig.
Owner David Nelstrop said: ‘We want to offer tasty food featuring locally sourced ingredients wherever possible’ and a sneak preview of the menu sounds promising with dishes like Mountain’s Boston Sausages and Mash and Knickerbocker Glory made with Willingham Fayre ice cream.
“The same ethos is embraced in the delicatessen where visitors can choose from lots of great Lincolnshire favourites like Lincolnshire Poacher and Cote Hill Cheese, Pipers Crisps, Tom Wood Ales, along with Lincolnshire sausages brought in especially from the Boston Sausage Co and local free range eggs.”
There are also independent boutiques where visitors can find Joules clothing stocked by Springs of Market Rasen, Catkins who offer a beautiful range of ladies fashion accessories including bags and scarves and shabby chic home accessories, and a pet centre offering a wide range of pet foods and accessories for dogs, small animals, poultry and fish. There will also be a selection of beautiful homewares available including cushions by Hannah Williamson, china by Sophie Allport and luxury toiletries by Made in Heaven.
Opening hours are from 9am until 5.30pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sundays.
