A Rasen area business is doing its bit to promote the county’s History in this 800th anniversary year of the Magna Carta.

The new Magna Carta visitor centre opened in Lincoln Castle last week and Rase Distribution Ltd, based at Wickenby, are telling the nation.

“We have commissioned two new curtainside trailers in striking Lincoln Cathedral livery to ‘deliver’ the message around the whole of the UK,” said managing director Geoff Hill.

“Also featured are the aircraft of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight who also have strong heritage links with the county.”

Lincoln is the only place in the world where you can find an original copy of Magna Carta signed by King John in 1215 and the visitor centre opened on April 1 to commemorate the 800th anniversary of the document’s sealing by the King.

Lincoln’s Magna Carta will be an important part of the anniversary celebrations across the world.
